The Tracking Board reports Romanian boxer Florian “Big Nasty” Munteanu has joined the cast of Creed 2 as none other than the son of Ivan Drago in the next Rocky sequel.

Munteanu takes on the role of Ivan Drago’s son in the film that features Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone, and Dolph Lundgren reprising their respective roles of Adonis Creed, Rocky Balboa, and Ivan Drago. The film follows Adonis inside and outside of the ring — dealing with his new-found fame and family issues — as he continues his quest to become a champion.

It was previously suggested that the film would include Rocky IV antagonist Ivan Drago who killed Adonis’ father, Apollo Creed.

Steven Caples Jr. is set to direct the project from a script written by Stallone and Cheo Hodari Coker (Luke Cage). The sequel is being produced by Irwin Winkler, Charles Winkler, William Chartoff, David Winkler, and Kevin King-Templeton, with Jordan and Guy Riedel are serving as executive producers. Director Ryan Coogler who helmed 2015’s Creed is also expected to board the sequel as executive producer. Production is set to get underway this March in Philadelphia.

The film stars Michael B. Jordan as Adonis Creed, Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa, Tessa Thompson as Bianca, and Dolph Lundgren as Ivan Drago.

Creed 2 is slated to hit theaters November 21, 2018.
