Fans excited to see New Mutants are going to have to wait much longer as the film has been plucked from its April 13, 2018, release date and rescheduled to hit theaters ten months later on February 22, 2019.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film being pushed back is due to the fact that both New Mutants and Deadpool 2 would have been in playing in theaters internationally at the same time.

In addition to New MutantsDeadpool 2 and Gambit have also received new release dates. Deadpool 2 has actually been shifted up, set to hit theaters on early two weeks earlier on May 18, 2018. The film will now open in between Avengers: Infinity War and Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Gambit is also being pushed back. Following the news that director Gore Verbinski has exited the project, Fox has slated the film to hit theaters four months later on June 7, 2019, rather than its original date of February 14, 2019.
