The Wrap has revealead that Vin Diesel is in talks to join Sony’s upcoming Bloodshotmovie.

Diesel was recently named the highest-grossing actor of 2017,  racing past his Fast & Furious co-star Dwayne ‘The Rock” Johnson this year with global ticketing receipts of $1.6 billion.

Dave Wilson is set to direct the project with Neil Moritz producing alongside Toby Jaffe through the Original Films banner and by Valiant’s Dinesh Shamdasani with Matthew Vaughn and Jason Kothari serving as exec producers.

Bloodshot will be the second film in a five-picture deal Sony has with Valiant and DMG, the first being Harbinger, which is being written by Justin Tipping and Joshua Beirne-Golden. The plan is for each movie to get a sequel before the characters cross over in Harbinger Wars.

In addition to Harbinger and Bloodshot, Valiant also has an adaptation of Shadowman in development with House Party director Reginald Hudlin. Sean Daniel and Jason Brown of The Sean Daniel Company are set to produce the feature film adaptation with Valiant Entertainment’s Dinesh Shamdasani. The project will first be developed in-house by Hudlin and Salem showrunner Adam Simon before being shopped to studios.
