With Disney acquiring 20th Century Fox, the possibilities for the MCU are now endless. Except of course, for the possiblity of Hugh Jackman reprising his role as Wolverine. But that hasn’t stopped Chris Hemsworth from dreaming.

After appearing in 9 films as Wolverine over a 17 year period, Hugh Jackman pretty much became synonymous with the Wolverine character on screen. The appeal of working with the actor in the iconic role stood out to Chris Hemsworth. When asked who he would want to crossover with, he singled out Wolverine, specifically played by Hugh Jackman.

“I mean, Wolverine, just because I love that character, you know what I mean? I just love Hugh Jackman. Unfortunately, he died in the last movie, didn’t he?”

The ending of Logan didn’t deter Hemsworth’s spirit. He joked that he was going to try and convince Jackman to come back for one last ride, but for real this time.

“We can bring him back to life… Now that you’ve informed me that it’s a possibility I’m going to get on the one phone and try to coax him over or convince him and see if he has one more in him.”

It would be fun, and Hemsworth would probably love it, Australian superhero actor to Australian superhero actor, but the crossover is unlikely. Jackman made it clear that Logan was how he wanted to end his take on the character for good, and although he would’ve loved to join the MCU at one point, he feels that should be started with a new actor in the role.
